His Majesty's
Government desire to add to this clause that in all
cases of criminals having fled from one jurisdiction
into the other the extraditing authority shall have
the right to depute an officer to attend at the
trial, if the circumstances of the case should be
either of a suspicious nature or of great importance.
I therefore have the honour to request Your
Excellency to inform me whether you would approve
of such an addition to the arrangements.
